The violin is made on a model inspired by the 1780 violin of Maestro Antonio Gragnani,
luthier from Livorno, built with spruce wood from Val di Fiemme for the soundboard, wood of maple, “Pseudoplatanus” variety, for back sides and neck.
Fingerboard, pegs and chin rest are in Indian ebony. The varnish is amber red pigments on a golden yellow base and it is a spirit varnish made with the Master’s personal recipe.
