The violin is based on a model by the violin “Joseph Guarnerius, filius AndreÊ 1705”
The instrument is made in spruce wood from Val di Fiemme for the soundboard and
european maple – “Pseudoplatanus” variety – for back, sides and neck.
Fingerboard, pegs and chin rest are in Indian ebony. The varnish is amber orange pigments
on a golden yellow base; it is an oil varnish of the Master’s personal recipe and is antiqued.
